About:
Alfred has been told by his mother his whole life he is a prince, but he never believed her. His family are peasants and never ceases to be a disgrace to the community. His sister squabble, his mother complains, and his father long ago deserted them. Alfred hopes the quest to find some bandits will give him a perfect opportunity to redeem his family name, or slip away just like his father did.

My Favorite Character is Alfred- who is hurt, broken, looking for freedom, and later redeemed.
Thoughts: This is one of the shortest stories I’ve read but it has one of the most important lessons to learn woven into it. I really enjoyed this short story and its great message of redemption.
My Verse for this story: Psalm 49:15
But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. King James Version.
