Today I’m honored to be part of Sarah Grace Grzy’s blog tour for her amazing novella Live Without You!!!
About this book:
Piper Redding is a loner, but lonely. Everyone she loves has abandoned her and opening her heart to others is just asking for more pain. She can’t help but blame herself for her brother’s tragic death six years ago, and in her guilt, she shuts herself off from the world. No one could love her—not even the God who promised to be there for her but wasn’t.
For paramedic Ezra Bryant, failure is not an option. He’s had enough of it, and only by God’s grace is he able to put it behind him. But when a traumatic event brings Piper’s greatest fear and Ezra’s failures to light, can they use that event to allow God to mend their broken pieces? Can love triumph over fear, and grace over guilt?
My Review:
Genre: Christian romance.
My Rating: 5 stars. (If I could give it more I would!)
Recommendation: 13/16 up is better but this book is for anyone who likes romance though there are slight mentions of blood, gunshot wounds, and abuse.
My favorite character is: Ezra, he’s a super deep guy, deep in faith, care, love, and his walk with Christ. I liked reading about him from the beginning to the end of the book. He may have been my favorite hero of the 28 books I’ve read this year. I loved the way Ezra grew throughout the book even though he was great when LWY started with me loving him from the first scene.
My Verse for Ezra is James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. (King James Version.)
Piper, I loved as well, I liked seeing the ways she changed and grew (even more than Ezra.) into a wonderful character, and it will break your heart and slowly piece it back together to break it again as you read her story. It is in a good way though . . . And by the time you close the book, you will be in awe of the amazingly crafted characters Sarah Grace wrote.
My Verse for Piper is Psalm 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (King James Version.)
And honorable mention is Tom, Ezra’s dad, who is the first fictional I’ve wanted to read more about, he was sooooooooo sweet and I lovvvvvvvved how he treated Piper.
My thoughts: This book is fantastic! And I now know that romances that are novella length romances are the best! *points to >Love Needs No Words< by Faith Potts* like this book has the sweetest, purest, kindest love story with Christ as the center and it makes me wish I know more people who center their relationships around Jesus like the characters in this book do because they are the sweetest couple. And there is the unexpected ending that is gut-wrenching, and then sweet then sadder and yet again sweet. I can not TELL YOU how much YOU NEED TO READ this WONDERFULLY SWEET NOVELLA!!! (See, all you need to know is that I TELL YOU, YOU NEED TO READ THIS WONDERFULLY SWEET NOVELLA!!!!!!!)
I received this book in exchange for an honest review, and I’m truly happy to provide it!
About the author:
Sarah Grace Grzy is a voracious reader, and if it weren’t for this crazy thing called ‘Life,’ she’d be tempted to spend all her days in front of a wood stove, book in one hand, coffee mug in the other.
A lover of learning, she finds enjoyment in many things and has more hobbies than she knows what to do with. Sarah Grace is a freelance web and graphic designer, and when not working, spending time with her ever-growing family, or reading, she can be found painting, playing the piano, or fangirling with her sisters and friends. She inhabits the State of Great Lakes, and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else—unless it meant she could have a baby penguin, in which case, she’d gladly move to the South Pole.

Interview:
Which of the characters was the hardest to write?
I’d probably have to say Ezra, but my other MC, Piper, was really difficult as well. While I had Piper’s story for the most part in my head, it was accurately writing her that I struggled with. I knew what her character needed to be, but it was hard to get that captured adequately on paper. For Ezra, I had to dig deep to find the entirety of his story. And once I did, parts of it actually surprised me. But for the most part, writing his character was pretty easy. So I guess you could say they are both pretty equal.
Which was the easiest character to write?
Cecil! She’s just such an adorable, precious character, and the scenes with her always flowed so easily!
Who is your biggest inspiration when you write?
Oh my, so many people! My besties, Allison Tebo, Mary, and Micaiah are all writers and inspire me SO. MUCH in my writing. They are also the best encouragerscritique partners a writer could ask for! Also, Melissa Tagg and Jan Karon are two authors that I highly respect and look up to! Their books have probably influenced my writing more than I realize.
Out of all your characters which is your least favorite?
Goodness . . . I don’t have one! LOL! I really do love them all so much . . .
