About: Julia Gilliland has always been interested in the natural world around her. She particularly enjoys studying the fossils and formations in the magnificent cave near her father’s house. The cave seems plenty safe–until the day a mysterious intruder steals the rope she uses to climb out.
Rafe Kincaid is a man used to being in control–of himself, his brothers, and his family’s ranch. The last thing he expects is to find a woman trapped in the cavern on his land–or to be forced to kiss her!
Rafe is more intrigued by Julia than any woman he’s ever known. But when their developing relationship threatens a reconciliation with his brothers, will Rafe have to choose between his family and this new love that could heal his troubled heart and secure his happiness?
My Review:
My Rating: 4 and 1/2 stars.
My Recommendation: 16 up . . . Warnings below. 😉
My Favorite Character/s: Julia, for sure – is one of my favorite characters. She’s kind, and caring, though her bossiness is shown quite throughout the series. I love her relationship with Rafe and how well the two fit together as a couple though Rafe being, um, Rafe nearly ruined it with his overprotectiveness.
My Verse for Julia is Ephesians 6:2
Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; (King James Version.) I picked this verse because though not always Julia mostly honored her father even when he wasn’t kind.
My Thoughts: When I first tried this book on kindle I didn’t care for it . . . And forgot about it until I ordered a copy from Thriftbooks. And when I read it in paperback, I love love loved it! It’s so unique with the crazy loco brothers, the woman that loves the oldest and bossiest brother, caves, fires, and being out of control even if they never were in control in the first place. After wanting to read this series in paperback for a while I am glad I kept it on my tbr list.
Warnings: Mentions of gambling, a man is cruel to his family, and there is kissing and a proposal gone wrong.
