Hey, so I know it’s been a while, and I’m sorry for that, but I’m working on the behind the scenes for the new site, and I am super busy with everything that I have going on.
But!
I am so excited to (hopefully) share the new site with you on the 1st of January, so far that is launch date and you can help me with that by going here if you have Instagram. I would be so thankful if you would go here.
About: Four nail-biting novellas in one!
Lethal Homecoming
Nolan Tanner never got over Kallie Ainsworth’s sudden, unexplained departure. Now when he comes to her rescue after an attempt on her life, all the old feelings come rushing back.
Lethal Conspiracy
When professional fundraiser Lillian Maloney sees her father’s campaign manager commit murder, she goes on the run from the men he hires to kill her. A close call brings firefighter Jason Tanner to the rescue, but the killer is closing in . . .
Lethal Secrets
Someone wants Honor McBride dead. When Eli Murphy helps her change a flat tire and discovers the danger Honor is in, he longs to help–but Eli has secrets of his own that could get them all killed.
Lethal Agenda
When Detective Derek St. John rescues a woman he’s met only once before–and has never been able to forget–he finds himself falling for her. But he’ll have to keep Claire Montgomery alive if they’re to have a future together.
My Review of Protecting Tanner Hollow by Lynette Eason:
Lethal Homecoming: I read this novella before and hadn’t realized that when I requested the novella collection from Revell for review since I was excited for the story of Derek St. John from the Blue Justice books, and I didn’t read the blurb, I didn’t have to, knowing that it was a collection from Lynette Eason, enough for me. I enjoyed this novella, the plot was all right though rushed a little bit, the characters could possibly be a little average for the suspense genre but I still enjoyed reading about them.
Lethal Conspiracy: For thrillers about politicians this might be my favorite story. With secrets, romance, new friends, murder, and a campaign manager gone bad you can’t go wrong with this book. But, there is content that makes this a novella for older readers.
Lethal Secrets: Starting with a bullet this is one interesting ride of a read, and it was not like any suspense I’ve read recently, it was nice to read a new take on romantic suspense. And the kids were so cute, sweet, and too smart for their own good…
Lethal Agenda: This is a long awaited story that is not nearly long enough in my opinion. It was so good, with the craziest of the St. John family yet, who picks up what he did? Yeah, it was the only way to live but yikes. I cannot begin to describe my love of this book and can just say it needs to be on your TBR list!
Rating: 4 stars.
Recommendation: 16/19 up for content.
Verse: Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (King James Version.)
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
About:
Krista Galloway is not a fan of Christmas. After her rough childhood in multiple foster homes, the holiday season just brings too many bad memories to the surface. But when she accepts a job as a city manager in the mountain town of Winter Hill, Washington, Christmas is part of the deal. The small town is famous for its Christmasville celebration, something that the city manager . . . well, manages.
As she tries to make her tiny new apartment feel like home for her and her eight-year-old daughter, Emily, Krista begins to wonder if this move was a mistake. She doesn’t always feel welcomed in the close-knit town, and Emily continually wonders, “Where’s the snow?” Can a friendly stranger and his family help restore Krista’s Christmas spirit before the big day?
Bestselling author Melody Carlson invites you to spend this holiday season in a town you’ll never forget–and never want to leave.
My Review of Christmas In Winter Hill by Melody Carlson: I didn’t finish this in time to review it for Revell because I just didn’t enjoy the plot since it was almost any Hallmark movie, I love the cover, but I also disagree with the main character being divorced and have heard/read/watched this plot several times with different books, movies, and such. And honestly I just do not want to finish reading something that I don’t enjoy currently, maybe I’ll read it closer to Christmas but I doubt it. Though I do love the book’s cover.
And I am so excited for this sale that I have been seeing EVERYWHERE on social media, but alas I have little money but shall use it on books, that’s the right thing to do, don’t you think? Go here for the sale.
First, I am linking back to the Creator of the tag ( LITAFLAME.BLOG )
Now for the birthday tag!
How old are you turning?
I am now EIGHTEEN, yikes, how am I now an adult? (Got any advice you wish you were given when you turned eighteen?)
What’s your favorite thing about Birthdays?
Hmm, family, because ya know, family is one of the best parts of your life and true family is really there for you on birthdays, even if you don’t want a party they care enough to give you one.
What’s your favorite Birthday meal?
Soup, I’ve almost always wanted soups for my birthday.
Favorite Birthday Dessert?
My grandma’s DELICIOUS chocolate cake that was as good for breakfast on my birthday as the night before at my party.
What’s your favorite Birthday memory?
Going Black Friday shopping on my birthday with both of my parents by myself which at the time was really big.
Worst Birthday memory?
I don’t know, most birthdays are good even if they aren’t since I’m with my family, I guess.
If you could do ANYTHING on your Birthday, what would you do?
Move, seriously… LOL.
If you could get anything for a gift, what would you ask for?
I have no idea, I generally have everything I need, and I don’t want anything, except big things that are kinda private so, yeah, I’m doing great with this tag thing, right? 😉
What’s your favorite Birthday gift you’ve ever gotten?
Mr. Henry! His picture is below.
What does a typical Birthday day look like for you?
A special breakfast, whatever the birthday kid wants to do, which for me is read.
What are your plans for today?
Seeing as my birthday was the 24th I’ll say what we did then, and that was I got a day out with my mom and baby brother, W, who declared my Caesar salad “Sgus sgus!”
Any plans for the future? What do you want to do (as in career, etc)?
That is up to God though I would like to get my realtor’s license, go to a Storyfest, and get my driver’s license.
How do you want to see God work in your life?
More faith, less anger, and easier for me to love others.
Now, do you want to know who Mr. Henry is? Pleeeeaseeeeeee say yes, because I’m introducing you either way.
