AKA SIMON LEE; Interview!

Hey! Today we have an interview with the author of the AKA Simon Lee series… P.D. Atkerson!

P.D. Atkerson is a homeschooled writer, living in Montana. She spends almost as much time in the worlds she creates as she does the real one.
When she is not reporting the stories of Simon Lee and other heroes, she is making ice cream, learning French or traveling to different worlds through the portals of books. She has a black belt in sarcasm and a master’s degree in useless facts.

Lee is known as many things. A con artist, master thief and most times smarter than anyone else in the room. One thing he’ll never be is normal. He never has been, nor will he ever be. That’s why the agency needs his help, and that’s why he’ll give it to them, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have his own plans too.

Joining up with the team that arrested him won’t be easy, but he’ll do anything to bring down the man who ruined his life. After he’s worn so many faces, how does he really know who he is underneath?

Some teenagers have hobbies, his is crime.

If you were given an exotic pet (think more of an animal that should be in the zoo. ;)) what would you do with it? Would you keep it? Send it to a zoo? Or study it for writing research?

I’d probably end up sending it to the zoo. I’ve never been a big animal person (and it would probably be dead with a week if I did keep it LOL).

In the process of writing what is your least favorite step?

That would probably be editing. It’s almost painful to have someone go and mark up your book.

Do you have a least favorite character that readers love?

Um… I don’t know. I kind of like all of my characters, and I don’t really know of too many characters my readers like other than the main ones.

Of your published books which is your favorite? And why/what makes it your favorite?

Probably Murphy Lawson. It was fun/interesting writing about him going to public school, since I was homeschooled my whole life and all I know about public school is from TV and books.

What was the first story you completed?

It was probably a girl spy book I wrote about five years ago, but it wasn’t very good. 🙂

Who is your biggest inspiration when you write?

I’m not sure there’s a specific person, but I’d say Chuck Black is my favorite author, if that answers your question?

I had a lot of fun with this interview and I hope you did too.

Look for tomorrow’s post featuring each of Atkerson’s AKA Simon Lee books that are out!
