Review Request: He Said His Name Was Micah

He Said His Name Was Micah (The Micah Series Book 1)
About:
A Good Deed Leads To Danger

A recent broken engagement leaves Ava Howard in a rut, looking for meaning and purpose in her life. Enter a stranger with a ready grin, who says that his name is Micah and claims to have known Ava’s ex back in high school.
Micah is currently “in between” jobs, and Ava feels led to offer him work doing odd jobs around her home. Little does she know that her simple act of kindness will challenge her faith, threaten the lives of the people she loves, and have her running for her life.

Ava hopes that somehow she will be saved, but in the end, she may be forced to make a devastating choice in order to survive.

My Review:

Genre: Suspense.

My Rating: 3 and 1/2 stars.

Recommendation: 16 up because of slight violence.

My favorite character is: Ava is my favorite though I suspect if there is another book it may be a different character then. Ava was easy to connect with since she was a little broken, and I wanted to know what would happen next, not only because of the storyline but because I wanted to know what happened to her.

My Verse for Ava is 1 Chronicles 16:11

Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. (King James Version.)

My thoughts: This book started off a little slow but quickly picked up and finished with a slight cliff-hanger that left me wanting more of the story.

A favorite quote: “Hmm…interesting. I thought that show was canceled, because it was so terrible.”

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. And I’m truly happy to provide it!

  1. This book sounds good! May I ask why you gave it only 3.5 stars?

    1. Because it is a good book, but in my opinion, it is also somewhat average . . . If that makes sense.

And I realized that when I started blogging I was doing too many 4 or 5 star reviews and am now giving 5 star reviews for genuinely wonderful books, 4 stars for good reads, 3 stars for average books, 2 stars for the not too great story, and 1 star for books I feel are inappropriate.

  2. Awesome! I will check this book out. Violence doesn’t bother me at all, so I will read it even though I am 14-years-old; I will try and remember to buy it when I can. ❤ Thanks for sharing.
